Tommy and Lily: The Secret of the Whispering Woods

The warm sun sparkled on the clear water, and dragonflies glittered their wings. Tommy sat by the shore, building a little raft from sticks, while Lily arranged pebbles in the shape of a heart. Everything was peaceful—until a strange rustle came from the bushes.
“Did you hear that?” Tommy lifted his head.
“Uh-huh… someone’s hiding!” Lily whispered, peering warily at the bushes.
The rustle came again, this time closer. The bushes seemed to move all on their own.
“Maybe it’s a squirrel,” guessed Tommy.
“Or a monster!” Lily breathed, her eyes shining with curiosity.
