The Missing Pie

One bright and beautiful morning, the forest was buzzing with excitement for the Sweet Treat Festival.
Every animal was asked to bring their favorite dessert.
Rudy and his mom baked a huge strawberry pie that smelled so delicious, the whole forest could catch its scent.

But when it was time to carry the pie to the meadow… it was gone!
“Maybe the wind ate it?” guessed Rudy.
“Or maybe your tummy did?” his mom said with a twinkle in her eye.
Rudy frowned for a moment, then giggled.
“Well then,” he said, “I guess I’ll have to become a detective!”
