A Slow Start

Deep in the Misty Valley lived a little snail named Spir.
He dreamed of becoming a racer, though his neighbors often laughed.
“Ha! A snail in a race? That’s like a cloud wanting to be lightning!”

But Spir believed that speed wasn’t just about moving fast.
It was also about never giving up—about keeping on, even when the whole world seemed to stand still.

Every day he practiced: gliding around daisies, timing himself by the drip of a dewdrop,
and dreaming of the Great Shell Race, where the best snails in the world would compete.
