Getting Ready for the Trip

One morning, Dad said,
“Charlie, it’s time for a real adventure! We’re going camping!”

The boy’s eyes lit up.
“Camping? With a tent, a campfire, and stars above?”
“Exactly! But remember—true adventurers know how to have fun and how to stay careful.”

They packed their backpacks.
“The main rule, son,” said Dad, “is not to take too much—but never forget the important things.”

Charlie packed a compass, a flashlight, a water bottle, a first-aid kit, a pocketknife, and a bag of marshmallows.

Dad chuckled.
“That last one is, of course, an essential strategic supply!”
